Overview & Definitions
In these Text (SMS) Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Text Messaging Terms”), “you,” “your,” and “yours” refer to any individual accessing FFCU’s services. “We,” “us,” “our,” and “Credit Union” refer to Ferguson Federal Credit Union (FFCU).
Our text messaging service provides timely, actionable information related to your accounts and our services. Messages may include important notices, reminders (such as branch or holiday closures), account-related updates, or fraud and risk-mitigation alerts. Certain messages may be delivered automatically based on your interactions with our platforms or services. Marketing messages are only sent with your separate, explicit consent.
Program Description & How to Opt In/Out
FFCU offers several text programs, each using a dedicated number for specific purposes. Programs are designed to enhance your experience, support account management, and assist with fraud prevention. Each program requires separate consent.

You may also text us general questions during our texting hours of operation.

Message Frequency
The number of messages you receive depends on the programs you select and your activity. If you opt in to marketing messages, we will not send more than ten (10) marketing texts per month.
Fees
FFCU does not charge for text messaging services. However, standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Please check your mobile plan for details.
Your Mobile Number & Responsibilities
By providing your mobile number, you confirm it is valid and that you are the owner or primary user. You authorize FFCU to send account-related texts to this number. You agree to indemnify and hold FFCU harmless from claims arising from providing a number that is not yours or from violations of applicable laws.
Delivery to Mobile Networks (No Guarantee)
Message delivery may be affected by factors outside our control (e.g., carrier/network issues). FFCU is not liable for delays, failures, or disclosures caused by third parties. Please do not use text messaging while driving.
Messages may be delivered through major U.S. carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular) and select regional carriers. Carrier participation can change without notice. Neither FFCU nor carriers are responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
Eligibility
You must be a U.S. resident and at least 18 years old to participate in FFCU text messaging services.
Changes to Terms & Conditions
FFCU may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or your Membership Agreement, or if your mobile service is discontinued or interrupted. We may also modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any text services at any time, with or without notice.
Security & Fraud Safety
Texts may at times include confidential account information. Safeguard your device and do not share sensitive details over text unless you initiated a secure exchange. If you receive a suspicious message, contact us immediately at (601) 649-7181.
FFCU may send secure HTTPS links to official websites. Look for the lock icon to confirm encryption. Text messaging does not replace your official monthly account statements.
Disputes
Any disputes related to FFCU text messaging are governed by your Membership and Account Agreement or Business Services Account Agreement, as applicable.
